About Final Grade Calculator
The math is a weighted average solved backwards. Your current grade covers everything except the final, so the needed score is your target minus the locked-in portion, divided by the final's weight. If the answer comes out above 100%, the target is mathematically out of reach; below zero, it is already secured.
The table underneath shows what common final scores would leave you with, which is useful for deciding where to spend study time across several courses. An 87% current grade with a 40%-weighted final needs 91.5% for an A- — good to know before the all-nighter.
