Controls

Scoring and how to win
- You get 6 guesses to find the hidden 5-letter word.
- After each guess, letters are marked: right letter in the right spot, right letter in the wrong spot, or not in the word.
- Any 5 letters are accepted as a guess, so you can use a throwaway guess to test common letters.
How to play Word Guess
- 01Type any real five-letter word and press Enter.
- 02Green means the letter is correct and in the right place, amber means it is in the word but elsewhere, grey means it is not in the word at all.
- 03Use what each guess rules out. You have six tries in total.
About Word Guess
A five-letter guessing puzzle rewards information over instinct. Your first two guesses should cover ten different common letters rather than chasing a hunch, because eliminating letters narrows the field faster than a lucky partial match.
Openers built from frequent letters, like vowels plus R, S, T, L and N, tend to leave only a handful of candidates by the third row. Keep an eye on amber letters: knowing a letter is present but in the wrong position is often the strongest clue on the board.

- Six. Each one gives you color feedback on all five letters.
- Can I play more than once a day?
- Yes, rounds are unlimited here, so you can start a new word immediately.
- Does the game check if my guess is a real word?
- No. Any five letters you type are accepted as a guess, so use the color clues rather than worrying about dictionary rules.
