About Hangman
Hangman is a deduction game about letter frequency. In English, E, A, R, I, O, T, N and S cover most words, so opening with vowels and the common consonants reveals structure quickly and cheaply.
Once you have a few letters placed, switch from frequency to pattern. Word shape, common endings such as -ING and -TION, and double letters narrow the field far faster than guessing another vowel you do not need.
